Add videos and photos to your business listing
The more, quality content that you add to your listing, the easier it will be for potential customers to make an informed decision about visiting or purchasing from your business. Two of the richest forms of content that you can add are videos, and photos of your business. Here's how you can add them:

Videos:

  • To add a video to an existing listing, click to edit that listing and scroll down to the "Videos" section. You can upload up to five videos per listing. You'll have to upload your video to YouTube first, in order to create the URL that you'll need. Your videos should appear in your listing within six weeks.
  • For information about how to upload a video to YouTube, and for additional assistance with your video, please search the YouTube Help Center.

Photos:

  • To add photos, click to edit your listing and scroll down to the "Photos" section. You can have a total of up to 10 images in your business listing. Each image must be smaller than 1MB (and 1024 x 1024 pixels), and must be in one of these file formats: JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, or BMP. Remember that all photos must comply with the Google Maps Photo Policy.

Surveys
You also may want an easy to way to survey customers or potential customers about what they think of your business. To do that, you can now easily create forms with Google Docs in Google Apps. You can design surveys with check boxes, ratings, multiple choice questions and paragraph text answers. You can also customize the look & feel of your survey by choosing from one of hundreds of design themes. Finally, when users complete your survey, their answers are aggregated into a spreadsheet that you can easily understand and interpret.

Newsletters & Marketing
To connect with customers on an ongoing basis, you may want to think of sending a newsletter (just like this one!). With Google Apps you can use a variety of design templates in Google Docs that not only help you create newsletters, but also provide templates for other business processes such as scheduling and invoicing. You can just search through the Google Docs templates gallery to choose the template that fits your needs.

To distribute the newsletters, you can create and manage an email list with Google Groups, which is available for free. Be sure to follow all applicable laws and regulations for email marketing.
