We are pleased to inform you about 'The Google India Women In Engineering Award 2010'. This is an initiative launched by Google India in 2007-2008 with an objective of recognizing and rewarding deserving women students in the field of Computer Science 


 


In this third edition of our awards, we welcome applications from female students pursuing Bachelors, Masters and PhD in computer science, who meet the eligibility criteria. Applications are open from 15th Sept '09 to 31st Oct '09. A group of most deserving students will be chosen form the applicant pool and the award recipients will receive a sum of INR 100,000 each.

Women in Engineering Award

As part of Google's ongoing commitment to encouraging women to excel in computing and technology, we are pleased to announce the 2010 Google India Women in Engineering Award, to recognize and reward deserving women students in Computer Science and related majors, and inspire them to become active participants and leaders in creating technology. The awards are based on the candidates' academic background and demonstrated leadership. A group of female undergraduate, graduate and PhD student finalists will be chosen from the applicant pool. The award recipients will receive a cash prize of INR 100000.

Eligibility Criteria


Candidates must:
  • Be enrolled as a full time student in a recognized Indian institution.
  • Be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related majors.
  • Maintain a cumulative CGPA of at least 4.0 on a 5.0 scale, 8.0 on a 10.0 scale or equivalent in their current program.
  • Be enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd or final year if applying when in their bachelor’s degree, 1st or 2nd year if they are applying when in their master’s degree or are PhDs students in a related field.
